SEVEN LAYER SALAD

Ingredients:

1 head iceberg lettuce, torn into pieces
1 bag fresh baby spinich, stemmed
12 jumbo hard-boiled eggs, chopped
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar
1 lb bag Green Giant LeSeur baby frozen peas, thawed
6-8 green onions, chopped
1 lb bacon, fried crisp, crumbled

1 cup mayo
1 cup Miracle Whip
1 pkg Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix (original flavor)
1 cup sour cream

Directions:

Layer salad ingredients in order given in a large, straight-sided bowl.

Combine dressing ingredients, blending thoroughly. Spread over top layer of salad like icing on a cake. Do not mix in. Cover and refrigerate overnight so flavors of bacon and onions will blend with salad dressing. When ready to serve, toss well to coat all layers of salad.

This serves a hoard and will keep well. It's great for a picnic, or goes with most any meat dish.
